The type of car seat you choose should depend on how old your child is!

Infant Car Seat: Rear-facing seat. This is made for newborns and babies up to 2 years old.

Convertible Car Seat: A convertible seat is rear-facing for infants and forward-facing for toddlers.

Booster Seat: For older children who have outgrown the convertible seat.

Car seats can fit differently depending on your vehicle, so it’s important that you read both your owner’s manual and the car seat manual when shopping/installing your car seats. 

Installing:

LATCH System

• Locate the lower anchors in your vehicle’s seat.
• Attach the car seat’s lower anchor connectors to the vehicle’s lower anchors.
• Tighten the straps to remove any slack, ensuring the car seat is firmly in place.

Seat Belt

• Lead the seat belt through the car seat’s belt path. Refer to your car manual if needed.
• Buckle the seat belt and make sure it’s locked in place. In most vehicles, pulling the seat belt all the way out and letting it retract will lock it.
• Push the car seat down and pull the seat belt tight to remove any slack.

Make sure the seat is in place by grabbing it at the base and attempting to move it from side to side. If the seat moves more than an inch, it needs to be tightened.
